Dear Families,

            Our class Christmas party will be on Tuesday, December 20.  Many of you have signed up to send in supplies or volunteer, and I thank you so very much!  I will send reminder slips home on Monday or Tuesday.  Please have these supplies to school on or before Monday, December 19. For our gift exchange, please send a wrapped $3 - $3.50 girl or boy gift.

A reminder as we enter our winter season and the weather gets much colder, please send weather appropriate clothing to school with your child—gloves or mittens, hat, boots, and snow pants (when there’s snow on the ground). 

            We will be focusing on the letter Cc for this coming week.  We will also continue to work on our reading strategies:  Spinner Spider, Picturing Penguin, and our newest additions: asking questions with Questioning Owl, and looking at the pictures with Eagle Eye for clues to help figure out a word.

            In science and social studies we will begin talking about our families and family traditions to tie into the upcoming holiday seasons.  We will also begin to explore our 5 senses.  And in math we are beginning to identify and count pennies.
